Nautical Rondel With Dolphins, Eagle and Balls Mirror

This classical 18th Century rondel symbolizes maritime supremacy of the seas. Mythical dolphins with cascades of sea leaves and pods flank an heraldic eagle perched on a draped platform. The decoratively roped and banded rondel frame with balls and black rim holds a convex mirror. A stylized shell and scrolled leaf design embellishes the bottom crest.
